Chris Walker’s contract extended through 2027 season
University of North Alabama Director of Athletics Dr. Josh Looney announced Wednesday that UNA and women's soccer head coach Chris Walker have mutually agreed to exercise an option that extends Walker's contract through the 2027 season. An additional option year for the 2028 season has also been added to his agreement.

FLORENCE, Ala. (October 10, 2025) – University of North Alabama Director of Athletics Dr. Josh Looney hired a former Division I basketball coach and in-state athletic director to UNA's athletic staff this month, as college athletics veteran Michael Grant joins the department as Associate Athletic Director for Championship Resources.
