BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UAB Director of Athletics Mark Ingram has named Alex Mortensen the eighth head coach in UAB Football history. Mortensen has served as the Blazers' offensive coordinator since 2022 and led the Blazers as interim head coach for the second half of the 2025 season.
