## Job Description

 

**Advertising Summary: ** VCU Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Partnerships area during the 2026-27 academic year.

 

**Unit:**  Athletics MBU

 

**Department:** Athletics Office

 

**Department Summary:** VCU Athletics’ mission is to win conference and national championships, provide a first-class student-athlete experience, serve as a source of pride for the University and community and cultivate graduates who excel as leaders.

 

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

 

The Corporate Partnerships Graduate Assistants will work closely with all identification, outreach, ideation and fulfillment tasks associated with the partners of VCU Athletics and VCU RecWell. Tasks include prospecting, presentation preparation, post-sale activation management, event preparation including marketing set up and tear down, and day-to-day office management. Efforts will support VCU’s Division I intercollegiate athletic programs and the VCU RecWell Department. This position will work both cooperatively and independently with the VCU Sports Properties staff, VCU Athletics & VCU RecWell administrators and staff, as well as other University personnel and student organizations.

 

All duties and responsibilities will be assigned with the end goal of growing the corporate partnership portfolio for VCU Athletics & VCU RecWell, representing and promoting the VCU brands and increasing revenue for the departments.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 
- Serving as department liaison with VCU Sports Properties/Learfield

- Participate in full sponsorship sales and fulfillment process

- Utilizing available research and data to develop prospect call lists

- Designing various graphics for presentations, publications and partner usage

- Assisting with various game day promotional activities

- Establishing effective on-campus partnership efforts (i.e. presence at non-athletics events) and

- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be admitted to a graduate program within VCU
