This temporary role is intended to enhance on-court instruction, player development, and overall program continuity under the leadership of the Interim Head Coach.

Job Summary
The Temporary Assistant Coach will provide part-time coaching and technical support to the Albany State University Women's Basketball program during the 2025¿2026 interim period. This temporary role is intended to enhance on-court instruction, player development, and overall program continuity under the leadership of the Interim Head Coach.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
Assist with the development and execution of practice plans and skill development sessions.
Provide in-game coaching and tactical support, including scouting and opponent analysis.
Contribute to game preparation, film review, and strategy meetings.
Support the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
Ensure compliance with all NCAA, SIAC, and institutional policies.
Attend home competitions and select team functions as directed by the Interim Head Coach.
Perform additional coaching-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience playing, coaching, or supporting a basketball program.
Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals, game strategy, and player development.
Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Work Schedule
- Part-time temporary (non-benefits eligible).
- Expected to work fewer than 25 hours per week.
- Total hours will not exceed 1,300 over the appointment period.
- Evening and weekend hours required for practices, games, and travel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience at the collegiate level preferred.
