Job Description
The Temporary ACC Production Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the technical operation of live remote productions within the Athletics Production department.
Positions & Responsibilities may include:
- Technical Director
- Audio Technician
- Graphics Operator
- Replay Operator
- Video Technician
- Camera Operator
- Engineering
- Utility (Cable/Parab)
- Collaborate with the Athletics Production Department to execute production plan for each broadcast
The ideal candidate must be a team player and be able to communicate effectively to leadership regarding execution of production plans. The ideal candidate brings creativity in his/her work and is open to new ideas/procedures. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree preferred, equivalent education and work experience considered.
- Experience in live event production and remote production.
- Professional technical training with industry standard equipment & software.
Skills and Knowledge
- Understanding and experience with video production equipment for live event production.
- Must understand video production, equipment setup and operation.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment.
- Must be able to perform basic analysis and apply problem solving as necessary to complete specific assignments.
- Ability to manage stressful situations.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends.
- Must have a working knowledge of and familiarity with NCAA and ACC rules.
Responsibilities
- Event preparation; setup equipment for use during broadcast; prepare for any storylines the production plans to emphasize.
- Execute the broadcast as led by the members of the Athletics Production Department.
- Professional development: keeping up with changes in equipment and technology related to the production assistant’s area of expertise.
- Maintain personal schedule and correspondence regarding upcoming events with Production Operations Manager.
