SPORTS DIETITIAN

UAB Athlethics seeks candidates for the position of Sports Dietitian. The successful candidate will provide nutrition services to the UAB Intercollegiate Athletic teams to help student-athletes maximize their potential athletically, academically and personally. To support the overall goals of the UAB Athletics department and to work as an integral member of an interdisciplinary sports performance team in order to provide student-athletes with the resources necessary to attain and maintain competitive excellence. To adhere to all institution, conference and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations. To report all known NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference and NCAA policies and guidelines, and perform other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary: $35,570 - $40,000

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Alabama State Board of Examiners for Dietetics (BOED) required. License must be obtained within sixty (60) days from date of hire.
