Williams Baptist University seeks qualified applicants for the position of Men’s Assistant Varsity & Head Junior Varsity Basketball Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and the Director of Athletics. Additional duties may be assigned by the athletic director.

- Assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with all aspects of the varsity basketball program, including practice planning, scouting, player development, recruiting, and game preparation.
- Serve as the Head Coach for the Junior Varsity (JV) team, responsible for scheduling, training, and supervising all JV contests and practices.
- Recruit and retain student-athletes in alignment with the mission and values of Williams Baptist University.
- Mentor student-athletes academically, spiritually, and athletically in support of the holistic educational mission of the university.
- Adhere to all NAIA, American Midwest Conference, and WBU policies and procedures.
- Help with additional duties assigned by the Head Coach and the Director of Athletics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Previous basketball coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and mentor student-athletes.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to the Christian mission of Williams Baptist University.
