Job Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Associate Athletics Director, provide on-site event management for a wide variety of athletics-based and rental events inside Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) facilities. Utilize knowledge of ICA practices and University policies to resolve seating, accessibility, and other common patron/client issues. Coordinate preparation and execution of event-based logistics, including facility setup/breakdown, security, scoreboard controllers, PA systems, etc. Work closely with ICA’s large student worker pool to recruit, train and schedule necessary staff at each event.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Demonstrated experience in event management including coordination for sporting events at a recreation facility, collegiate athletics department, professional sports or similar.
- Experience in facility management practices and procedures.
- Experience in managing event venues and facilitating events such as performances, lectures, banquets, conferences, and athletic events.
- Experience with event scheduling and booking procedures.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment. Experience training and supervising staff.
- Demonstrated organizational and planning skills to prioritize and coordinate multiple complex and detailed projects simultaneously and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Ability to establish and implement quality customer service procedures. Problem-solving skills to elicit information needed to clarify inquiries and requests; to define problems and develop problem-solving methodologies; to perform analyses and summarize findings; and to develop and implement recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures relating to the use of University facilities.
- Organizational skills to effectively facilitate the efficient running of an event facilities, which have numerous and varied events and skills to manage multiple tasks and projects, set workload priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of fire and safety codes, regulations, and emergency procedures related to public assembly facilities.
- Skill to author reports, correspondence, etc. Organizational and multi-tasking skills to effectively manage simultaneous needs of a high volume programming; set workload priorities and meet deadlines
