The Director of Sports Nutrition for Basketball, under the direction of the Associate AD / Sports Nutrition, will oversee all nutrition services provided to Virginia Tech's Men’s and Women’s Basketball student athletes. Primarily responsible for managing both Men’s and Women’s basketball teams’ game day operations for pre-competition meals, hydration, catering, recovery, and supplementation as well as managing team travel nutrition needs, and travel when necessary.

Also support the VT Olympic Sports nutrition department as needed that includes oversight of one or more additional teams and support overall departmental initiatives that includes performing any other duties deemed necessary by the Associate AD / Sports Nutrition for the operation of the VT Sports Nutrition Program.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree and/or bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field with related experience.
Significant experience as a Registered Dietitian.
Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Ability to work a nonstandard work week which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle a fast-paced, intense work environment.
Sports nutrition experience.
