Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno Athletics Department is seeking a Director of Athletics Grounds and Facilities to join our team. This leadership role provides administrative and supervisory oversight within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA). The Director is responsible for the overall management of athletics facilities, grounds, custodial operations, and maintenance programs. Key responsibilities include planning, scheduling, payroll administration, and ensuring resources across ICA are effectively managed and maintained.

The Director will play a vital role in implementing best practices in maintenance and facilities management to support ICA’s mission. This position directly supervises assigned staff, oversees daily work planning and scheduling, manages inventory and work orders, and procures equipment and supplies as needed. The Director reports to the Associate Athletics Director of Facilities and Event Management and serves as a critical partner in ensuring ICA facilities and grounds operate at the highest level to support the success of Nevada Athletics.

Required Qualifications 

High School Graduation and four (4) years of related work experience OR

Associate’s degree and three (3) years of related work experience OR

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR
