Hastings College, a proud member of the NAIA and Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Athletic Trainer to join our dynamic Athletics Department. The Athletic Trainer position plays a critical role in the health, safety, and well-being of our student-athletes across all intercollegiate sports. This position is responsible for providing athletic training services to the Hastings College Athletic department. The Athletic Trainer provides preventative care, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate athletic injuries through assessment measurements, athlete history, specialized testing, and develop a treatment plan.
- Confer with physicians, when needed, in making decisions on when an athlete can return to practice/competition. Documents athlete’s evaluation, treatment plan, and progress.
- Communicates with athlete, coach(s), and family members (if applicable), regarding athlete’s treatment and progress.
- Apply protective or injury-prevention devices such as tape, bandages, and braces as necessary.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with 1 year of related experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.

Licensure or Certification:
- Current national certification from National Athletic Trainers Association.
- Current athletic training license from the State of Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record insurability in accordance with the Hasting’s College insurance plan.
