 **Title:**  **_Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach_**  
**Department: Athletics  
Category: Part-time, non-exempt, stipend  
Reports to: Head Women’s Volleyball Coach**    
 
 
   
**Summary/Objective **  
  
 
 
The assistant women’s volleyball coach will support the head coach in recruitment, management, training and coaching of the women’s volleyball team.   
  
 
 
   
**Essential Functions**  
  
 
 
- Support goals and objectives of the Athletics Program.
- Assist the Head Coach with organization of team equipment, practices, recruitment, team travel, fundraising, and any other area of responsibility as directed by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics.
- Work cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel.
- Support the student-athlete concept and demonstrate concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete.
- Coordinate practice, film, or training sessions with specific positional groups, redshirt players, or scout players, as assigned. 
- Assist with prospective student-athlete recruitment, campus visits, prospect camps, and scouting.
- Additional duties as assigned

**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**    
 
 
This is a part-time, stipend position. Coach is expected to attend practices and games.  
  
 
 
 **Travel**  
  
 
 
Travel for recruiting and game competition will be required.
 
 
### Required Qualifications
 

- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior coaching or competitive volleyball experience
