Job Description

OHIO

Athletics is a dynamic team of student-athletes, coaches and administrators with a vision to demonstrate unprecedented excellence in athletics, academics and student-athlete development. Our championship culture provides a foundation for our students to grow as a person, student and athlete.

This position is responsible to the head coach for providing coaching expertise and leadership of the intercollegiate athletics program; assisting the head coach in the effective management and administration of all aspects relating to a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes.

1. Teaching and coaching student-athletes to develop and acquire the tactical, technical and physical knowledge required to be a competitive Division I intercollegiate level student-athlete. Responsible for skill instruction during individual and team practices. Manage skill development for assigned positions. .

2. Responsible for talent assessment. Conduct a successful on-campus recruiting only program to identify and cultivate outstanding student-athletes to Ohio University.

3. Ensure the men’s basketball program, including staff members and student-athletes, is in compliance with

NCAA

, Mid-American Conference, and Ohio University regulations.

1. Responsible for film and video for the men’s basketball program. Prepare video analysis of practice, opponents, and game film for study, development and scouting purposes. Liaison to the Mid-American Conference on matters related to team video exchange. Other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Men’s basketball coaching experience..

Preferred Qualifications

Division I men’s basketball coaching experience.
