Job Description:

This is a professional position responsible for assisting the administration with the ongoing efforts of the compliance program and managing all associated risks.  Responsible for assisting the Associate Director for NCAA Compliance with the administration of a comprehensive compliance program that includes rules education, monitoring, reporting and general support of the compliance efforts of student-athletes, staff and external constituents.

Responsibilities include:

• Assists senior athletic department staff and senior university officials with the university's transition to NCAA Division I.
• Assists the Associate AD for NCAA Compliance in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitors institutional recruiting systems.
• Monitors institutional playing seasons.
• Prepares initial eligibility academic evaluations.
• Assists in the compliance educational efforts of student-athletes, coaches, staff, and supporters of the university.
• Works in conjunction with the office of financial aid to monitor, track, and distribute athletics aid and National Letter of Intents.
• Prepares multiple reports for senior athletic department staff and senior university officials to review.
• Prepares and executes paperwork as needed regarding student-athlete amateurism status.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate AD for NCAA Compliance.
• Assists with activities such as the athletic department golf outing and other special events.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division I legislation, Academic Progress Rate, and student-athlete welfare best practices.
• Knowledge of policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
