Assistant Athletic Trainer

Summary
 

Assists with all aspects of the Department&#39;s Sports Medicine Program. This position is clinic based. Must be able to work a variable schedule which could involve some nights and weekends.&amp;nbsp;

   
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
 

- 
Proficiency in emergency management of athletic injuries
- 
Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, coaches, athletes, parents, and peers

 
Required Education and/or Experience
 

- 
Bachelor&#39;s Degree
- 
Louisiana-LSBME Licensure at date of hire
- 
NATABOC Certification

 
Preferred Qualifications
 

- 
Master&#39;s Degree
- 
Prior experience as an Athletic Trainer

 
Compensation Information
 
 This position is classified as &quot;exempt, salaried&quot; and is assigned to pay grade 24.
