Summary:

The Director of Basketball Operations is responsible for assisting the coaching staff in various operational functions for a Division I Women’s Basketball Program. Specific areas of responsibility include coordination of all team travel, video/game film exchange, assisting with on campus recruiting events, office support, database management, coordinating facilities scheduling, supervision of student managers and practice players and performing game day non-coaching activities. The position also has the ability to engage in coaching activities.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in the daily management of the Women’s Basketball program to ensure that day-to-day activities run smoothly.

• Assist in organizing recruiting and team travel to away competitions and training, and operation of home contests.

• Recruit and supervise student managers and practice players.

• Assist the coaching staff in public relation duties in conjunction with broad-based athletic department activities for promotions and fundraising.

• Other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Salary Range:

• $22.86- $34.98 per hour.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Full-Time.

• 28 hours per week.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position supervises 1-2 student managers and practice players.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree.

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills and computer literacy are required.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Experience as a coach/or collegiate student-athlete in Women’s Basketball.
