Job Description:
- Assist the head coach in the managing and coaching of the University's team.
- Recruit student-athletes per NCAA Division I regulations and academic standards, as well as University academic requirements.
- Communicate regularly with Head Coach concerning admissions, eligibility, recruiting, and any other procedures relating to the sport.
- Assist in planning and coordinating in-season and out-of-season practices, including individual skill instruction and team workouts, focusing on developing athletic skills to compete at the Division I level.
- Assist in the planning and implementing game plans for each game, including the development of scouting reports of opponents.
- Monitor the academic progress of the baseball student-athletes. Effectively communicate with Athletics Academic Advisor to ensure any academic concerns are being addressed.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, working effectively within a culture of individuals with diverse backgrounds, styles, abilities, and motivations.
- Assist in scheduling games as directed by the Head Coach.
- Participate in fundraising activities for the baseball program (camps/showcases) and/or Department of Athletics.
- Assist with taking care of the field; this includes cutting/trimming grass, keeping the area manicured, and other assistance with the field.
- Abide by and comply with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Conference rules, academic standards, requirements, and policies of the Department of Athletics and University.
- Contribute to the overall success of the University's intercollegiate athletics program by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Collegiate or professional playing experience.
- Working knowledge of NCAA Division I Rules and Regulations governing recruitment, eligibility, and related functions.
- Possess a willingness and ability to support and promote a diverse and inclusive campus community.
