Job Summary
The Manager of Ticket Sales & Service will be responsible for the Paciolan ticket system and oversee day to day operations of the Ticket Box Office with a focus on building customer relations and promoting group experiences to increase sales and attendance at University of Portland home athletic events. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Operations and will serve as a key member of the Athletic Department ticket office.
Core Duties
- Oversee the Paciolan ticketing platform and related processes for Athletics, including but not limited to package creation, pricing structures, email campaign execution, and overall database management.
- Reconcile all ticket sales/account receivables in accordance with University of Portland policies and processes while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide monthly reporting and analysis of ticket sales and communication metrics to Assistant Athletics Director. Oversee all season and single game ticketing financials reported to the Vice President for Athletics and Senior Associate Athletic Director.
- Serve as a key Athletics ticket representative at events to ensure questions are answered, ticket problems are solved, and fans have a positive experience.
- Build and maintain relationships with season ticket holders, alumni, community partners and prospective customers providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, online and in-person communication methods.
- Collaborate with internal campus partners to drive ticketing opportunities and sales.
- Work with Associate Athletic Director in developing new revenue streams for soccer, basketball, volleyball and baseball.
- Train staff and student employees on TicketsWest/Paciolan system and manage Chiles Center Box Office daily operations and ensure appropriate staffing for home games.
- Support ticket distribution and execution for University events held at Athletic Events, including Commencement.
- Serve as a liaison to outside ticketing representatives for events hosted at Merlo Field, Chiles Center and Joe Etzel Field.
- Supervise Athletics Student Employees. Supervisory responsibilities include hiring processes, setting of expectations, training and professional development, performance management and evaluations, and disciplinary processes up to termination of employment.
- Assist with coordination of Athletics programs and event logistics as needed.
- May be required to drive student athletes and other personnel to practice, games, or other functions to support Athletic Department.

Education & Experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree
- Required: Two years of professional experience with ticket sales/platforms.
- Preferred: Prior experience with community sales outreach, familiarity with Sales Force and Paciolan ticketing system.
- Or a combination of equivalent education and/or experience.

- Frequently: ability to work early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as necessary (in addition to regular work during University’s business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
- As necessary: ability to travel to events by car or air.
Working Conditions
- Hours of employment: will require working flexible and/or longer hours, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays when necessitated by projects.
- Work-related stress: there may be stress from work-related situations such as those involving challenging, important, urgent, time-sensitive, or multiple matters.
- Travel: may require travel to events by car or air.
