Position Summary:
Assists the Director of Dance and Cheer with all phases of the respective program.

Responsibilities/Accountability:** **
- Choreograph cheer routines for presentation at athletic contests
- Direct all cheer rehearsals for athletic contests
- Monitor team participation and performances at community based events for Dillard University and in the community
- Conduct cheer tryouts
- Prepare at least one community workshop for local schools
- Coordinate team fundraising events for competitions and camps
- Coordinate ordering of equipment and uniforms for the team
- Attend all athletic department staff meetings.
- Attend all practices and games.
- May be asked to perform other duties by Head Coach and/or Athletic Director
Qualifications

- Baccalaureate degree required.
- Two years of related experience required.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Louisiana for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a First Aid, CPR/AED certification
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain NAIA certification within four weeks of hire date.
Work Conditions
- Ability to make frequent trips to locations outside of the University area
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records and reports
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well with supervisor, coworkers, university community, and the public.
- Ability to work evening and weekends in preparation for and during athletic events.
