Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications

Roles

The Graduate Assistant, for Athletic Communications will serve as a contact for several sports and as a secondary contact for selected others. This position will assistant the Sports Information Director with all of the emerging sports division and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the promotion of all the emerging sports division of the athletic department
• Work with selected NCAA sports in the athletic department
• Maintain and update the athletic department website
• Develop and publish post-event recaps
• Produce content for social media platforms
• Assist with production of feature stories, video features, live streaming, photography and live statistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Computer knowledge/skills and particular knowledge and/or experience with Word, Excel, web site maintenance, the Adobe Creative Suite
• Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a positive image
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
