Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Director of Broadcast Services will produce, manage, and execute all of Murray State Athletics’ live video productions, including ESPN game broadcasts. This position is responsible for creating storylines and adhering to the brand standards set forth by Murray State and ESPN, while also assisting with social media efforts of the department. In addition, this individual will be responsible for identifying and training gameday staff to assist with all broadcast operations.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Produce live sports coverage of Football, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, and other assigned sports and events.
• Responsible for the production of ESPN+ broadcasts by gathering assets and identifying storylines for the broadcast.
• Create postgame highlight videos and capture individual highlights as needed.
• Assist in the archival of games, highlights and related content.
• Maintain an effective knowledge of video board setup and operation for athletics contests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements

• Knowledge of multi-camera production and signal flow
• Previous experience producing, shooting and editing video.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.), Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, cameras, lighting and sound.
