Job Summary
- Complies fully with all NCAA, Big Ten (or other conference) and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Adheres to the Code of Ethics of the National Athletic Trainers Association and State of Indiana Practice Act.
- Evaluates, provides treatment and rehabilitation, and documents athletic injuries in consultation with health care professionals and in accordance with established practices, guidelines, and protocols.
- Refers student-athletes to various medical resources and provides information based on injury evaluations in collaboration with medical professionals.
- Serves as an on site physical health consultant for assigned teams during practices, competitions, and special events to ensure adequate treatment of injuries and appropriate response to emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Advises, develops, and implements plans for injury and illness prevention, emergencies, and environmental monitoring to ensure safety of participants during practices, events and competitions.
- Supervises and reviews the performance of students in the undergraduate and graduate athletic training programs.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training or a related field and 2 years of experience in intercollegiate athletic training OR
- Master's degree in athletic training or a related field
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Required
- Board of Certification BOC Upon Date of Hire
- CPR/AED Upon Date of Hire
- Standard First Aid Upon Date of Hire

Working Conditions / Demands
This position requires both sedentary work and long durations of movement about the workspace. It requires the ability to move and transport objects and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential tasks with or without an accommodation.
