SPORTS/DEPARTMENT
The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coordinator is responsible for designing and administering performance enhancement and injury prevention training programs for student-athletes. The applicant should base programs on sport-specific training paradigms that are scientifically sound and progressive. The position instructs student- athletes on proper execution of warm up, plyometric, anaerobic, resistance, aerobic, and recovery training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Women’s Basketball
-Develop sport-specific training programs
-Coordinate all aspects of conditioning using various anaerobic, aerobic and plyometric programs
-Assist Basketball staff on all nutritional needs
-Develop mental performance enhancement strategies
-Assist in the character and leadership development of upperclassman student-athletes
-Perform all pre-game stretching routines for home and away games
-Summer manuals-develop year round strength and conditioning program using periodization model
-Assist athletic trainer with rehab of injured student-athletes
-Administer strength and conditioning tests and analyze results - Assist Strength and conditioning staff with the coaching and implementations of training programs for all student athletes
-Assist with providing nutritional guidance for all sports
-Assist with administering strength and conditioning tests

- Assist with random and team drug testing for all student-athletes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree – Field of study: Strength and Conditioning or related field
1-3 years college or professional strength & conditioning experience
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Collegiate or professional playing or coaching experience
Licenses and Certificates:
Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification; Current CPR and First Aid.
Salary Range:
48,000 - 66,000
