Wisconsin Women's Basketball is looking for an experienced Assistant Coach to join the team! This individual should bring coaching experience, strong leadership and communication skills with a unique ability to foster team competitive success while maintaining a strong emphasis on the personal development and academic achievement of student-athletes.

Responsibilities:

Major Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, assist with the responsibilities of a Division I Women's Basketball program in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations.
Areas of responsibility may include:
- Recruiting prospective student-athletes: 20%
- Organizing and conducting practices: 20%
- Scouting opponents and creating game plans: 20%
- Develop student-athlete skills to maximize performance: 10%
- Developing and executing player conditioning plans: 10%
- Performance of administrative and public relations duties: 10%
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach: 10%

Qualifications:

Preferred:
- Minimum three (3) years of successful coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Ideal candidates should demonstrate:
- Ability to foster team competitive success while maintaining a strong emphasis on the personal development and academic achievement of student-athletes
- Excellent communication skills to work with student-athletes, other coaches, and administrators; knowledge of and experience with NCAA and Big Ten rules.
- Ability to be flexible in accepting new responsibilities

Additional Information:

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Limited appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included. Successful applicants are responsible for ensuring their eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without need of employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment.
