Job Description
Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Men’s Golf Coach for the Texas State Athletic Department. This position is full-time and benefits eligible and reports to the Head Men’s Golf Coach.
Job Duties
The Assistant Men’s Golf Coach plays a vital role in supporting the success of the Men’s Golf program at Texas State University. This position is responsible for the direct and independent coaching of student-athletes during practices and tournaments, as well as the development of individualized training plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes
- Monitoring academic progress and providing support to ensure student-athlete success
- Leading team meetings and contributing to a positive team culture
- Assisting with public relations, marketing, and fundraising initiatives for the Men’s Golf program and athletic department
- Ensuring compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations
The ideal candidate will be student-centered, team-oriented, and committed to fostering excellence both on and off the course.
