Monmouth University is seeking a Temporary, Part-Time Assistant Football Coach in the Athletics Department. The successful candidate will work in a coordinated fashion with the Head Football Coach and Defensive Coordinator to implement and teach defensive techniques.  Additionally, the successful candidate will consult with the Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator on defensive practice and game plan strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coach and evaluate offensive players on a daily basis, for practice and competition. 
• Organize and implement a plan of operations for travel, recruitment, and hosting prospects at home football games.
• Develop and coordinate a plan for practice for managers, video and field assistants.
• Research and implement offensive techniques and drills. 
• Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of running the football program as requested to do so.
• Monitor academic success of the offensive players within a specific position. 
• Plan and initiate strategies for the academic success of the players within the specific position.
• Develop and implement strategies for the recruitment and evaluation of prospects under the supervision of the receivers coach and identify which prospects should be invited to campus for official and unofficial visits, and make decisions on which prospects should be considered for athletic scholarships.
• Responsible for adhering to the policies and procedures of the Department of Athletics, Monmouth University, and any applicable NCAA and Coastal Athletic Association Regulations.
• Work a varied schedule including game days and weekends.
• Team travel as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Head Coach.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• College Football playing experience
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have an understanding of the University’s concern for academics, as well as athletic excellence
• A valid driver’s license in your state of residence and have had no serious violations (Type A) within the past five (5) years and no more than three (3) moving violations (Type B) in the past three (3) years. University Policy found here : Monmouth Universi** ty **** Vehicle Use Polic ***y*
