Position Summary
Position will serve as the primary communication contact for a variety of sports, including men’s ice hockey. Travel for assigned sport/s away games and post season. Responsible to produce game notes, statistics maintenance, fostering social media growth and home game management. Responsible for maintaining website pages for assigned sports. Plan and coordinate media days for UNO sports which includes communication with local news media and internal stakeholders. Field and coordinate all media requests for assigned sports, including social media management. Collaborate with the Athletic Communications and Marketing team to maintain brand standards. Will need to have an understanding of NCAA Live Stats by Genius Sports, CBS StatCrew System and other relevant software.

Extensive knowledge of statistical software for baseball/softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, hockey, golf and tennis and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Microsoft Office. Demonstrate working knowledge of media monitoring systems and press clipping distributions. Proficient with website content management systems (SIDEARM Sports) and social media platform (X – formerly Twitter, Meta and additional platforms as developed/used).
