ABOUT PROGRAM
The Assistant Coach for Volleyball will assist the Head Volleyball Coach in carrying out the objectives of the athletics program as outlined by the Head Coach and Athletic Director. The Assistant Coach will instruct athletes in team and individual fundamentals, strategies, and physical training necessary for them to realize individual and team success. This position reports to the Head Volleyball coach in conjunction with the Athletic Director.
Essential duties:
- Adhere to, support, and follow the academic standards and requirements of the University regarding the eligibility of student-athletes.
- Assist student-athletes by providing appropriate advice and assistance to help ensure the success of each student-athletes' development and completion of stated program of study.
- Report any known or suspected violations of the College and NCAA Division III rules and regulations to the Director of Athletics.
- Assist in organizing and supervising all practices, games, and other workout sessions for the team.
- Assist the Head Coach in the instruction and coaching of student-athletes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- One or more years of successful high school, college, or private coaching experience is preferred
- Ability to assess the team’s competitive strengths and vulnerabilities
