Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Athletics & the Head Softball Coach, Assistant Softball Coach I will provide support to the Head Softball Coach in overseeing the University’s athletic program in accordance to NCAA Division I, Southern Conference & University standards and procedures.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

• Assist in recruiting efforts under the additional title of ‘Recruiting Coordinator’.
• Assist in coordinating all camp and clinic efforts under the additional title of ‘Camp Coordinator’.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coach & manage assigned aspects of competition at an elite level to ensure maximum team success.
• Train, instruct & coach all athletes in practice to achieve maximum individual personal potential.
• Spearhead all competitive & non-competitive season scheduling efforts including, but not limited to, all pre-season home tournament management.
• Scout all opponents, analyze statistical trends & assemble game plans for staff and athletes.
• Identify community outreach opportunities for program participation and community service.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Assist in operational needs; i.e. travel, meals, scheduling
• Maintaining facilities and playing field.
• Fundraising & sponsorships.
• Social Media relevance & growth.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience playing at the Division I, professional/open/major levels or collegiate/professional baseball.
• Advanced softball specific training or education (NFCA, USA Softball, etc.).
