Assistant Baseball Coach-(Part Time)

Job Description:

Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach, the Assistant Coach is responsible for working, as directed, with the Head Coach toward the planning and execution of a successful program. This position ensures the program works within NCAA, MAAC and University rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting with all facets of the baseball team
• This position may be assigned to pitching, hitting, defensive and/or other skill instruction

• Further, as assigned, work with the Head Coach to:

  • Assist with off-field responsibilities, including but not limited to recruiting, strategic planning, scouting reports, equipment maintenance and baseball analytics
  • Supervise team Study Hall

  • Supervise team Study Hall
  • Support community engagement and player leadership development initiatives
  • Conduct fundraising events

• Assist with practice planning and execution (including BP, fungo hitting, etc)

• Assist, as assigned, with the JV/Developmental program

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate playing experience desired.
• Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Salary/Hours/Benefits

• $9,000 salary
• Part Time
